Chapter Number 22 Ayat (Verse) Number 5

سُوۡرَةُ الحَجّ

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِى رَيۡبٍ۬ مِّنَ ٱلۡبَعۡثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ۬ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ۬ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٍ۬ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضۡغَةٍ۬ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ۬ وَغَيۡرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ۬ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمۡ‌ۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ۬ مُّسَمًّ۬ى ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلاً۬ ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَشُدَّڪُمۡ‌ۖ وَمِنڪُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنڪُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِڪَيۡلَا يَعۡلَمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمٍ۬ شَيۡـًٔ۬ا‌ۚ وَتَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ هَامِدَةً۬ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ وَأَنۢبَتَتۡ مِن ڪُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجٍ۬ (٥) 

TRANSLATION

O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed – that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

UNDERSTANDING THE MECHANISM

1. Initial Interaction with Soil: When rainwater falls on the ground, it interacts with the soil particles. The raindrops create a disturbance in the soil, causing the particles to move. This movement can be described as a vibration of the soil particles, which is similar to what is known as “Brownian movement.” This phenomenon was first described by Robert Brown in 1827, where small particles suspended in a fluid exhibit random motion due to collisions with molecules of the fluid.
2. Absorption of Water: As rainwater seeps into the soil, it is absorbed by soil particles. The structure of soil consists of layers that have spaces between them where water can enter. When these particles absorb water, they expand or swell due to the increase in volume from the absorbed moisture. This swelling is crucial for maintaining soil health and supporting plant life.
3. Soil’s Role in Life: The swelling of soil after rainfall not only affects its physical properties but also enhances its capacity to support life. The absorbed water helps facilitate biological processes within the soil, such as nutrient transport and seed germination. This transformation from seemingly lifeless earth to a vibrant ecosystem occurs because of the interaction between water and soil.
4. Scientific Evidence: Studies have shown that heavy rainfall can lead to increased seismic activity in certain geological conditions, particularly in karst landscapes where water pressure builds up within underground channels and caves. This hydraulic pressure can trigger minor earthquakes or tremors due to changes in stress along fault lines.
5. Conclusion: Therefore, when rainwater infiltrates and interacts with soil, it indeed causes vibrations (through particle movement) and swelling (due to absorption), contributing significantly to both geological processes and ecological systems.

In summary, rainwater causes the earth to vibrate and swell, primarily through its interaction with soil particles leading to both physical movement and expansion upon absorption.

Geography

There are seven continents according to the most widely accepted global standard: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America, and South America and Quran there are only 7 Verses with 2 words Land and Sea together. { وعنده مفاتح الغيب لا يعلمها الا هو ويعلم ما في البر والبحر وما تسقط من ورقه الا يعلمها ولا حبه في ظلمت الارض ولا رطب ولا يابس الا في كتب مبين } [الأنعام:59].

{ قل من ينجيكم من ظلمت البر والبحر تدعونه تضرعا وخفيه لين انجينا من هذه لنكونن من الشكرين } [الأنعام:63].

{ وهو الذي جعل لكم النجوم لتهتدوا بها في ظلمت البر والبحر قد فصلنا الايت لقوم يعلمون } [الأنعام:97].

{ هو الذي يسيركم في البر والبحر حتي اذا كنتم في الفلك وجرين بهم بريح طيبه وفرحوا بها جاتها ريح عاصف وجاهم الموج من كل مكان وظنوا انهم احيط بهم دعوا الله مخلصين له الدين لين انجيتنا من هذه لنكونن من الشكرين } [يونس:22].

{ ولقد كرمنا بني ادم وحملنهم في البر والبحر ورزقنهم من الطيبت وفضلنهم علي كثير ممن خلقنا تفضيلا } [الإسراء:70].

{ امن يهديكم في ظلمت البر والبحر ومن يرسل الريح بشرا بين يدي رحمته اله مع الله تعلي الله عما يشركون } [النمل:63].

{ ظهر الفساد في البر والبحر بما كسبت ايدي الناس ليذيقهم بعض الذي عملوا لعلهم يرجعون } [الروم:41].
