Surah Al-Fil (The Elephant), chapter 105 of the Quran, tells the story of Abraha, the King of Yemen, who attempted to destroy the Kaaba in Mecca with an army of elephants. This event, known as the “Year of the Elephant,” is said to have occurred shortly before the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. The surah recounts how Allah intervened, sending birds that pelted Abraha’s army with stones of baked clay, causing their defeat and destruction.
Abraha’s Motive: Abraha, a Christian ruler of Yemen, wanted to divert the pilgrimage of people to Mecca to a church he had built in Sana’a. He believed the Kaaba was a source of idolatry and wished to destroy it.
The Elephant Army: Abraha assembled a large army, including a large elephant, to march on Mecca and destroy the Kaaba.
God’s Intervention: When Abraha’s army reached Mecca, Allah intervened, sending birds that dropped stones of baked clay onto the invaders.
The Defeat of Abraha’s Army:The stones caused widespread destruction and death in Abraha’s army, rendering them like “scattered chaff”. Abraha himself was also injured and died soon after.

Prophet Muhammad’s Birth
The name “Year of the Elephant” comes from this event where Abraha, the Christian ruler of Yemen, marched towards Mecca with a large army, including war elephants, intending to destroy the Ka’bah. The lead elephant is said to have stopped at the boundary of Mecca and refused to enter. The Quran describes how Allah sent flocks of birds that pelted Abraha’s army with stones, destroying them.
According to Islamic sources, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in the Year of the Elephant. The consensus is that he was born around the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal, which corresponds to approximately April 20th, 571 AD.
سُوۡرَةُ الفِیل
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ (١) أَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِى تَضۡلِيلٍ۬ (٢) وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡہِمۡ طَيۡرًا أَبَابِيلَ (٣) تَرۡمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ۬ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ۬ (٤) فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفٍ۬ مَّأۡڪُولِۭ (٥)
English Translation
1/Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
2/Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
3/And He sent against them birds in flocks,
4/Striking them with stones of baked clay.
5/And He made them like eaten straw.
The Story itself is a Miracle and we also find several miracles in this small Chapter.
1/BILOGY
Elephants have 56 chromosomes. Both the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) and the African elephant (Loxodonta africana) have 56 chromosomes. This means they have 28 pairs of chromosomes and This Chapter which is called “The Elephant” because it tells us the Story of The King Abraha who came with Elephants t o Destroy The Kaaba at Mecca. The Original Arabic Text of this Chapter is also composed of 28 Words!!!!!! hinting the Chromosomes of Elephants.

2/MATHEMATICS
Mathematically 571 is a prime number. It is also the 105th prime number.
This Chapter is Number 105 and this number is connected to the Position 571th Prime Number!!!!!!
It is a Miracle because Prophet Mohamad was born in 571 and this is the same year the Story of Abraha happened!!!!

3/EMBRYOLOGY
African elephants are pregnant for up to 22 months, while Asian elephants are pregnant for 18-22 months. This is actually the longest gestation period of all land animals, which makes sense when we think about how big elephants are.
If we count the Letters of the First Ayat (Verse) from this Chapter (The Elephant) to the First Letter of the word ٱلۡفِيلِ which is فِ Pronounced “F” in Arabic the word means Elephant we get exactly 22 Letters as if these 22 letters pointing to the Word Elephant. But it’s a hint to the Gestation Period!!!!!!! of the Elephants.
أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ (١)
The Miracles in the Quran are Endless and this will continue until the end of the Universe/s because Quran is the last Testament and therefore it’s production too is endless!!!!!!!
