How Sound Can Kill
The question of whether sound can kill has a definitive answer: Yes, it can. Sound, at extreme intensities, can be lethal, and it can kill in multiple ways.
Sound is essentially a pressure wave that can travel through various mediums, including air and our bodies. When the pressure from these waves is high enough, it can cause significant damage.
How Loud Does a Noise Have to Be to Kill?
Eardrum and Organ Rupture: Sounds above 150 dB can cause eardrum ruptures and affect internal organs. Sounds between 170-200 dB can lead to life-threatening issues like pulmonary embolisms, contusions, or even burst lungs.
Exploding Heads: Sounds exceeding 240 dB are theoretically capable of causing a human head to explode, although such levels are extremely rare.
Infrasound Effects: Infrasound, which is sound below the human hearing range (20 Hz), can also be dangerous. Frequencies around 7 Hz, which is the resonant frequency of the body’s organs, can affect the central nervous system and cause various issues, including organ rupture and even death with prolonged exposure.

To kill, the sound needs to be incredibly loud. Scientists believe that sounds exceeding 185 or even 200 dB can be lethal. Sounds above 150 dB can start affecting the inner ear and organs, potentially causing life-threatening injuries.[1] Generating such high-intensity sounds is difficult; for instance, the European Space Agency’s Large European Acoustic Facility (LEAF) only reaches around 154 dB at its peak intensity.

While the idea of sound as a weapon might seem like science fiction, it has been explored. The German military used the “Luftkanon” during World War II, but it was not very successful. The Long-Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) is a known acoustic weapon used for crowd control. Research into sonic weapons continues, with some military forces developing devices that use loud sound, ultrasound, or infrasound.

In the case of sounds we cannot hear, which are below or above the human frequency range, things are a little more complicated. Humans cannot hear sounds below 20 Hz or above 20,000 Hz because when sound waves travel too slowly or too quickly, our body can’t translate that motion into signals our brains understand.
Therefore, it is possible for a sound to be extremely loud and for you not to hear it but be affected by it. The low pitch sounds in particular can travel much farther than higher frequencies and affect our wellbeing or even kill us.

Sound is a wave of pressure that acts just like an actual wave. It can move through both solids and liquids and pass through our bodies as well.
If the pressure buildup is high enough, it can cause damage to our eardrums and internal organs.

Quran Says in Chapter 11 From Verse Number 61 to 67
۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَـٰلِحً۬اۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيۡرُهُ ۥۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ فِيہَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى قَرِيبٌ۬ مُّجِيبٌ۬ (٦١)
قَالُواْ يَـٰصَـٰلِحُ قَدۡ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرۡجُوًّ۬ا قَبۡلَ هَـٰذَآۖ أَتَنۡهَٮٰنَآ أَن نَّعۡبُدَ مَا يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِى شَكٍّ۬ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَآ إِلَيۡهِ مُرِيبٍ۬ (٦٢)
قَالَ يَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِن ڪُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ۬ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَٮٰنِى مِنۡهُ رَحۡمَةً۬ فَمَن يَنصُرُنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنۡ عَصَيۡتُهُ ۥۖ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِى غَيۡرَ تَخۡسِيرٍ۬ (٦٣)
وَيَـٰقَوۡمِ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَڪُمۡ ءَايَةً۬ فَذَرُوهَا تَأۡڪُلۡ فِىٓ أَرۡضِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ۬ فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابٌ۬ قَرِيبٌ۬ (٦٤)
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُواْ فِى دَارِڪُمۡ ثَلَـٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍ۬ۖ ذَٲلِكَ وَعۡدٌ غَيۡرُ مَكۡذُوبٍ۬ (٦٥)
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّيۡنَا صَـٰلِحً۬ا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُ ۥ بِرَحۡمَةٍ۬ مِّنَّا وَمِنۡ خِزۡىِ يَوۡمِٮِٕذٍۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡقَوِىُّ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ (٦٦)
وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ فِى دِيَـٰرِهِمۡ جَـٰثِمِينَ (٦٧)
Translation.
1/ And to Thamud [We sent] their brother salih. He said, “O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive.”
2/They said, “O salih, you were among us a man of promise before this. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? And indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt.”
3/He said, “O my people, have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord and He has given me mercy from Himself, who would protect me from Allah if I disobeyed Him? So you would not increase me except in loss.
4/And O my people, this is the she-camel of Allah – [she is] to you a sign. So let her feed upon Allah ‘s earth and do not touch her with harm, or you will be taken by an impending punishment.”
5/But they hamstrung her, so he said, “Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be denied.”
6/ So when Our command came, We saved salih and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us, and [saved them] from the disgrace of that day. Indeed, it is your Lord who is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might.
7/The (mighty) Blast (High Sound or Noise) overtook the wrong-doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes before the morning.
Verse 7 talks about the punishment from loud sounds, which is a SONIC Weapon used by Allah.
The Modern Scientists are still doing researches on these type of weapons but we forgot that in the 7th Century an illiterate Prophet in the Desert of Mecca received a revelation about SONIC WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
