Allah knows best, but we learn through research. We may be right or wrong, and we do our best. If we are wrong, we seek Allah’s forgiveness; if right, then Alhamdulilah (Praise be to Allah).
There are many studies on this particular topic, and It will be not correct to claim that I will be able to cover them all, as the Quran contains endless knowledge that transcends time and cultural boundaries. The depth and richness of its teachings provide invaluable insights into various aspects of life, human nature, and the universe. After we pass from this earthly existence, others will continue to discover, interpret, and teach these profound lessons to new generations. This ongoing journey of exploration and understanding is what makes the Quran truly a great miracle in its wisdom and relevance. Each verse invites further contemplation, encouraging believers and scholars alike to delve deeper into its meanings and applications in contemporary life. Allahu Akbar (God is Great).

سُوۡرَةُ المَائدة Chapter 5 Verse 12
Translation
And Allah had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders. And Allah said, “I am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakah and believe in My messengers and support them and loan Allah a goodly loan, I will surely remove from you your misdeeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after that has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.”
Let’s examine the section from the above Verse which says:
“And Allah had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders”
وَ لَقَدۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَـٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسۡرَٲٓءِيلَ وَ بَعَثۡنَا مِنۡهُمُ ٱثۡنَىۡ عَشَرَ نَقِيبً۬اۖ
The counting is great. I learned about this structure today and want to share it with the new readers and subscribers.
The counting of words and letters proves that all is arranged divinely and not at random because this type of arrangement is endless, showcasing an intricate design that captivates those who explore its depths. The remarkable probability of this repetition, alongside the mathematical and linguistic precision observed throughout the text, serves as compelling evidence that the Quran is not the work of a human. Such a depth of structure raises profound questions about the origins of the text and invites scholars and believers alike to delve deeper into its meanings, revealing layers of understanding that resonate across time and space, and further emphasizing the belief in its divine inspiration.

The Letter (و) WAW
The classification of the Arabic letter waw (و) as either a letter or a word is a subject of significant linguistic nuance, as it functions differently depending on its grammatical role within a sentence. In Arabic morphology and syntax, the waw is fundamentally a letter of the alphabet, but it functions as a distinct, independent word when used as a conjunction meaning “and”.
In its capacity as a consonant, waw is a letter that forms part of the structure of a word, such as in the word وَرْدَة “warda” (flower). However, when it serves as the conjunction wa (meaning “and”), it is considered a one-letter word.
This distinction is crucial in fields like Quranic studies, where counting “words” versus “letters” can lead to different analytical outcomes.
Because Arabic is a language where certain particles (like the conjunction wa) are prefixed to the following word, they are often written attached to that word in modern orthography, which can obscure their status as independent grammatical units.
Linguistically, this is categorized under particles known as harf garr or similar functional particles that, while written as prefixes, carry the semantic weight of a word.
Therefore, whether it is counted as a “word” or a “letter” depends entirely on the analytical framework being applied: if one is counting orthographic units, it may be viewed as a letter; if one is counting semantic or grammatical units, it is correctly identified as a word.
The strange thing is that the Verse also mentions 12 tribes of Israel.
“And Allah had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders“
Pattern Number 2-Verse Number
And the most surprising thing is that the verse is number 12!
Can you see this incredible counting? Allahu Akbar. Let’s continue.
Pattern Number 3-Letters
Now let’s count the letters of the section which says “twelve leaders“
ٱثۡنَىۡ عَشَرَ نَقِيبً۬اۖ
ٱ / ثۡ / نَ / ىۡ / عَ / شَ / رَ / نَ / قِ / ي / بً۬ / اۖ =
Total= 12 letters which are Alif/Tha/Nun/Ya/A’in/Shin/Ra/Nun/Qaf/Ya/Ba/Alif
!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you see this amazing pattern? The Quran was revealed in the 7th Century over 23 years and was arranged divinely. There are still many layers of information yet to be discovered.
Inshaallah (if Allah wills), this page will have more research added soon.
